To celebrate Women’s History Month this March, the Global Semiconductor Alliance’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (GSA WLI) is recognizing three inspiring Marvell women, sharing their stories, leadership journeys, and their contributions to the technology industry.
All three women are Chapter Leads for the Women@Marvell Inclusion Network, where they make an impact through networking and mentorship opportunities.
Elise Katrina Russell

Elise is a principal program manager in Corporate PMO, and she is drawn to environments where complex problems need structure, collaboration and execution.
“What I love most about my work is connecting with people and priorities,” says Elise. “I’m proud of the moments when I’ve helped teams find clarity in ambiguity and when something overwhelming becomes executable because we built the right plan, asked the right questions, and moved forward together.”
For Elise, Women’s History Month is a time for both celebration and reflection. In an industry where representation matters, she leads with both accountability and empathy, setting a strong example for her daughter. She shares her favorite quote below.
“Do not wait for someone else to come and speak for you. It’s you who can change the world.” – Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner and an education activist.
“This quote resonates with me because strength comes in many forms: resilience, discipline, compassion and courage,” says Elise. “I strive to embody those qualities in my work and in my life, and I hope I’m helping create space for other women to do the same.”
Charisma Canlas

As a principal reliability engineer in the Quality and Reliability Engineering group at Marvell, Charisma partners closely with customers and internal teams to solve complex challenges, reduce risk, improve efficiency and keep critical programs on schedule. One of her proudest accomplishments is serving as a strong, dedicated customer advocate.
“I take pride in anticipating needs, proactively addressing issues before they escalate, driving operational efficiencies and earning trust along the way,” says Charisma. “Being known as someone others can rely on is something I value deeply.”
Charisma also has a strong belief in visibility and community, which inspired her to become the Santa Clara Chapter Lead with the Women@Marvell Inclusion Network, helping create spaces where women can inspire, empower, and elevate one another.
“Recognizing and elevating the achievements of women across fields helps inspire other female professionals,” she says, “and encourages students to see that pursuing engineering and technical paths is not only achievable, but a space where they can truly thrive.”
Neenu Kiluthattil

Neenu is an accomplished senior staff design engineer. Reflecting on her journey, she notes that engineering or technology was not a path that any woman in her family had taken before.
“Every step along the way has taught me something new, and I still feel there is so much more to learn,” says Neenu. “The semiconductor industry shapes the world; what we design today becomes the foundation of tomorrow. Being part of that evolution is both humbling and exhilarating.”
International Women’s Day, as Neenu explains, is a reminder of those who have paved the path before us. The persistence and courage of these women has made the progress around us possible. She also notes that the word “international” is significant; including and uplifting women across cultures, countries and communities is the goal, and the work is not done.
As a Women@Marvell Chapter Lead, Neenu started an initiative at the Westborough site called Shared Horizons. The program creates a space for women to strengthen their public speaking and presentation skills by sharing stories about their cultures and backgrounds.
“It’s a learning experience for everyone involved, helping us understand the richness of each other’s identities,” says Neenu. “The purpose is simple but powerful: to recognize that despite differences in country, culture, religion or color, we are far more similar than we are different, and we truly share the same horizons.”
