The semiconductor industry is an exciting place to build a career, especially with the exponential growth and demand for hardware innovation in the age of AI—the global semi market is approaching the $1 trillion mark, with 2027’s total market forecast at $831.5 million.1 For young engineers and talent, it provides an opportunity to solve complex problems and work on cutting-edge technology.
Marvell is a leader in the field, providing the industry’s broadest portfolio of data infrastructure solutions in compute, networking, security and storage, and accordingly prioritizes supporting young talent, extending beyond the company to the broader industry as well.
Supporting students and budding professionals takes several forms, including scholarship programs which currently run in Vietnam and India. The Vietnam Excellence Scholarship provides support to students at local universities in fields related to electronics, computer engineering and telecommunications. Since its origin in 2023, the scholarship program has supported 70 students, and over 40% of winners accepted internships at Marvell.

Building upon the success of the Vietnam scholarship, this year the program extended to India, where the scale is much larger as a major hub—second after the U.S.—for engineering talent. The Marvell Scholarship for Technical and Engineering Merit (MSTEM) was launched to identify, support and nurture high-potential engineers. With over 7,000 applications from students at 70+ top rated colleges in India, the program is proactively building a future-ready talent pipeline. 100 scholars were selected as MSTEM recipients, including 50% women and 20% first-gen winners to support these underrepresented communities.
Uplifting a generation of engineers forges long-standing partnerships with top universities while fostering technical readiness in students. In addition to providing financial support, Marvell will provide mentoring to recipients, enabling them to take charge of their learning and career development.
Awarding scholarships to these students empowers them to pursue higher education and develop skills across the entire semiconductor value chain. The programs are a cornerstone in the company’s vision to encourage semiconductor education.
