Marvell Showcases Innovative Consumer Class Wireless and Storage Solutions at CES 2005

Sunnyvale, California (January 6, 2005) – arvell® (NASDAQ: MRVL), the technology leader in the development of extreme broadband communications and storage solutions, today announced that it is showcasing leading-edge wireless and storage solutions at its booth in the South Hall 4 (#35346) at the CES show in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 6th – 9th.  Marvell's industry leading embedded Wi-Fi solutions offer the smallest size, highest performance, and lowest power to meet the unique needs of consumer devices.  The solutions will be highlighted in a variety of communication, imaging, gaming, entertainment, and connectivity products, including cellular phones, digital still cameras, printers, portable game consoles, audio speakers, televisions, MP3 players, home routers, and other home connectivity products. 

Marvell will also be demonstrating the CE-ATA interface, the ATA storage interface for CE (consumer electronics) equipment.  Marvell’s technology demonstration will feature a personal digital assistant (PDA), one of the many CE-ATA target applications, playing a movie streamed via the interface from a small form factor hard disk drive.  The drive used in the demo is based on Marvell’s complete drive electronics chipset and firmware solution.  Marvell is committed to working alongside other CE-ATA members to further develop this technology and to drive its proliferation into the handheld and CE segments.”
