Marvell Receives 7 American Business AwardsSM Including the People's Choice and Best New Product of the Year

The Prestigious Stevie® Awards Recognize Marvell for its Outstanding Innovation and Contribution to the Community and People around the World in Technologies for Storage, Mobile, Video, Infrastructure and Green Energy

Santa Clara, California (September 24, 2013) – Marvell (NASDAQ: MRVL) today announced that it was honored with seven American Business Awards, including the People’s Choice and Best New Product of the Year, at the 11th Annual American Business Awards (ABAs) held on Monday, Sept. 16, at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. The prestigious Stevie Awards recognize Marvell for its outstanding innovation and contribution to the community and people around the world in technologies and solutions for storage, mobile, video, infrastructure and green energy, including the company’s industry-leading quad-core processor, Marvell® ARMADA® Mobile PXA1088, which was named a People’s Choice Stevie Award winner in the Favorite New Products category.  In addition Marvell received the Best New Product or Service – Hardware – Semiconductor or Other Electronic Component Category, with the Marvell ARMADA® 1500 HD Media Platform, Marvell Avastar® 88W8864 WLAN SoC and Marvell ARMADA Mobile PXA1088 receiving Gold, Silver and Bronze awards respectively.

More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration, and the People’s Choice competition solicited more than 20,000 consumer votes.

In addition to the Mobile ARMADA PXA1088, ARMADA 1500 HD Media Platform and Avastar 88W8864 WLAN SoC recognition, Marvell was also honored in the following categories:

  • Gold Stevie Winner: Marvell LED Lighting – 88EM8183 IC Driver
  • Silver Stevie Winner: Marvell G.hn Chipset

Best New Product or Service – Hardware – Storage

  • Gold Stevie Winner: Marvell DragonFly™ platform
